This Summer Semester 2023 we again present the lesson course "Neuronal Networks in Health and Disease" as part of the Master programm Molecular and Translational Neuroscience of the University of Ulm.

As is tradition since the start of this lecture, the contents of the 2023 edition of this course have been updated and redesigned to contain the current knowledge of the scientific community.

Lesson I: Basic organization of neuronal circuits and non-viral mapping strategies

Lesson II: AAV vectors and related strategies for cell and circuit targeting

Lesson III: Advanced viral vector tracing strategy: rabies, herpes and yellow-fever

Lesson IV: Imaging neuronal circuits: light microscopy

Lesson V: Chemical biology approaches for circuit tracing and manipulation

Lesson VI: Bio-orthogonal and synthetic biology approaches

Lesson VII: Optogenetics: basics and advaced

Lesson VIII: Chemogenetics: basic and hybrid approaches

Lesson IX: Nanobodies and protein-engineering approaches to circuit mapping

Lesson XI: Deep-brain stimulatition and circuit manipulation in humans
