Diana Wiesner
"I have done my PhD at the group of Prof. Ludolph and Prof. Dupuis in 2015. Since 2016 I am a part of the group of Prof. Roselli and we examine the role of pTDP43 granules after traumatic brain injury in different ALS mouse models. Now I am researching the role of the hypothalamus in ALS and also work on the effects of NPFF and Angiopoietin in ALS mouse models and human".

“I got interested in Neuroscience during my Bachelor at the University of Hohenheim (2016) and followed up on the research field during my Master's Program at the University of Ulm (2019). There I encountered the work of the Roselli group and joined them for my Master Thesis. I ended up staying as a PhD student and am now embarking on my postdoctoral research in the lab dealing with the cellular interactions of neurons during TBI."

Oumayma Aousji
"I obtained my engineer's degree in bioengineering from "Université Libre de Tunis" and my master's degree in Biotechnology from "Institut Sup'Biotech de Paris". During my studies, I acquired basics of biology and developed a particular interest in neurosciences.I joined Roselli group in 2020 to investigate the involvement of Ia synapses dysfunction in ALS and to study the effect of selective restoration of PSD components on synaptic inputs and ALS-related pathobiochemistry".
Natalie Dikwella
"I studied Biomedical Sciences at Sheffield Hallam University. During my degree I completed an internship at Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience, where I developed a deep interest in neurodegenerative disorders. The desire to understand the complex structure and function of the brain led me to complete a MSc in Translational Neuroscience at The University of Sheffield. During my postgraduate course I gained an in-depth understanding of the molecular basis and the current approaches to investigate the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases.I joined the Roselli laboratory in October 2020 as a PhD student. I am investigating the role of activity-regulated transcription factors in establishing vulnerability of motor neurons in ALS".
Sruthi Krishnamurthy
“I have done my Masters in Biotechnology from National Institute of Technology Durgapur, India. Translational research fascinated me, and I acquired a specific interest in Neuroscience. My passion to study neurodegenerative disorders led me to the Roselli lab, where I am a PhD student since October 2020. I am exploring the role of hypothalamic neuropeptides regulating metabolism in aging and neurodegeneration”

“I obtained master's degree in clinical medical surgery from Jilin University, China. Then I worked in the first modern medical hospital of China and participated in scientific research on anesthesia and cognitive function. I want to further explore the field of neuroscience, so I joined the Roselli lab in May 2020. Now I‘m working on biomarkers in TBI.”

I studied neurosurgery in Tianjin Medical University in China during my PhD. To further explore the field of neuroscience, I joined the Rosselli Lab in January 2023. Now I'm working on the brain-spleen axis in traumatic brain injury.

Florian olde Heuvel
"I graduated in Biomolecular Research at the university of applied sciences in Utrecht (NL), where I developed a strong background in molecular and cellular biology. I joined the group in May 2015 and I am working on nociceptive spinal cord circuitry in an autism model, neuroinflammation and PV interneuron modulation in Traumatic Brain Injury. Furthermore, I am responsible for establishing the single mRNA detection (RNAscope) and whole organ clearing (Disco) protocols in our Lab".
Gizem Yartas
I studied Molecular Biology and Genetics at Istanbul Technical University, where I gained theoretical and practical knowledge of molecular sciences. To deepen my understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying various diseases, I joined the Master of Science program in Molecular Medicine at Ulm University. During my master's thesis, I had the chance to work in a clinical neuroanatomy laboratory, which led me to become very interested in the mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases. After completing my master's thesis, I joined Roselli's group at DZNE in July 2021 as a technical assistant. In this role, I provide technical support to lab members for their projects and take care of our ALS mouse models.
